An esoteric cartoonist,
a poet, a visionary and an animal lover, Pierre La Police anonymously
shines forth on the French-speaking cultural landscape. Every
interstellar tourist has to consult his works, which represent
an inestimable source of information on the inhabitants of this
planet. |

"You are excrement. You can change yourself
into gold", Alejandro Jodorowsky explains in his film The
Holy Mountain. Because Josorowsky the alchemist uses his
work as an athanor. The initiation is made up of films (Fando
& Lys, El Topo, Santa Sangre...), of strip cartoons
(The Incal, written with Moebius, The Métabarons,
written with Giménez...), of books (L'Echelle des
Anges, La Danse de la Réalité...)
and of the Tarot. Alexandro Jodorowsky indeed dispenses the
philosophy of the Tarot each Wednesday in a Parisian cafe, just
to help those who suffer. The poet sows the seeds of consciousness.
This interview took place a few minutes before one of these
readings. |

has been working on the status of women and of the body since
1964. She is opposed to the prestige of pain and to the formatting
of beauty, sports or religion. Her work on African and pre-Colombian
self-hybridization - which consists in applying the beauty standards
of antique civilizations (squinting, distorted head ) to her
own image - is a continuation of her work on deconditioning,
which she led from 1990 to 1993 with her plastic surgical operations. |
